I’ve got a cold (point to yourself)
My nose can’t smell (point to your nose)
My eyes are red (point to your eyes)

Owl Hokey Pokey
Action Song: “Owl Hokey Pokey”
You put your right wing in
You put your right wing out
You put your right wing in
And you flap it all about
You do the owl pokey and you fly yourself around
That’s what it’s all about! Hoo, hoo!
(left wing, right claw, left claw, beak, whole self)

I'm a Little Groundhog
To the tune of I'm a Little Teapot
I'm a little groundhog (place hands on hips)
Short and brown
All Winter long, (rest head on hands and pretend to sleep)
I sleep underground.
On February 2nd (peek through cupped hands)
I peek out and then,
If I see my shadow (put hands over head as if hiding in a hole)
I go in my hole again!

I Stretch Up High
I Stretch My Hands
I stretch my hands way up high
Until they nearly reach the sky.
Then I stretch them way down low
To see how very far they’ll go.
I bend my knees, cross my feet
Lower my bum, and take a seat.

Blue is the Lake
Blue is the lake
Hold arms out in a circle in front of you
Yellow is the sun
Move arms, still in circle, overhead
Silver are the stars when the day is done
Wiggle fingers overhead
Red is the apple
Make a round ball with your fingers in front of you
Green is the tree
Hold arms up like branches
Brown is a cookie for you and me
Rub tummy!

The Alphabet Beat
First clap your hands. Then stomp your feet.
Everybody do the alphabet beat.
Apple, Apple, Apple – a – a – a,
Apple, Apple, Apple – a – a – a,
Wave your arms high. Swing your arms low.
The alphabet beat is the way to go.
Blue, Blue, Blue – b – b – b
Blue, Blue, Blue – b – b – b
Move to the left. Move to the right.
The alphabet beat is way out of sight.
Car, Car, Car – c – c – c
Car, Car, Car – c – c – c
Now give a high five to a nearby friend.
The alphabet beat has come to the end!

Rhyme: The Airplane
The airplane has great big wings (arms outstretched)
Its propeller spins around and sings “vvvvvv!” (make one arm go round)
The airplane goes up (lift arms)
The airplane goes down (lower arms)
The airplane flies high (arms outstretched, turn body around)
Over the town! (fly around)

Let's climb into our boxes (mime action)
Push ourselves down (squat)
And close the lid (mime action)
Now let's wind ourselves up.... (mime action)
And here we go:
Jack-in-the box sitting so still,
Won't you come out?
Yes! I Will! (Jump up)
Push ourselves down (squat)
And close the lid (mime action)
Now let's wind ourselves up.... (mime action)
And here we go:
Jack-in-the box sitting so still,

Wave High, Wave Low
Wave High, wave low.
I think it's time, we gotta go.
Wave your elbows, wave your toes.
Wave your tongue, and wave your nose.
Wave your knees, wave your lips.
Blow a kiss with fingertips.
Wave your ears, wave your hair.
Wave your belly in the air.
Wave your chin, wave your eye,
Wave your hand and say good-bye.
